Last night someone asked me wither I like classical or modern art more...here's my answer. Modern Art. I can appreciate classical art. The small brush strokes, the numerous paint colors and the sacrifices that the artist made to create a work of art. Its not them that I have a problem with. It the art historians tell me what to think about the art. Art should be left up to your own interpretation. From your own life experiences and points of view, you can make your own conclusions on what the artist was thinking and what the piece mean in your life. I hate being told what to think. With classical art, there are all these preconceived notions of what the artist really meant when they used orange instead of pink for the flower. Art Historians...give me some room to breath. I love modern art. Its just there. You can make of it whatever you want. Its a blank canvas for the mind. Nobody is telling you want to think or how to interpret the piece. Its not everyone's cup of tea, but give it a try.

personal branding...
I'm sitting in the living room contemplating everything that was said at the AdLab meeting today. Basically, it was drilled into us that we need to be making an online footprint and that we need to leave school with a personal brand by this brilliant man. So I came home, and instead of bustin' out my sociology textbook, I turn on my laptop got to work. After a couple of hours, all that I've accomplished is choosing the colors, and I'm not even sure about them. Well, at least I'm in sweats. Which is ironic. I'm trying to improve my image while looking like a bum. Hopefully none of my future creative directors will see this and judge me.

Hollar to my 330 friends that got in with me...Brad, Emily, Pierce and Anthony! Good work guys! Many hours in the ad lab are in our near future.
