dreams
that away from me. No one can influence me differently. Communicating
with the world for causes that I truly believe in is what I love in my
life. Sometimes I question if I’m doing what is right. I struggle with
the fact the that if the world was to collapse the only viable skill I
would have is to write. I’m not going to save lives or teach children
how to read. I will write. I have been given a gift and I will use it.
I have the responsibility to do good with the mind that I’ve been
given. I can effect what is inside the box for good. I can change
cultures and beliefs with my words. I’ve squeezed every last bit of
knowledge out my experiences. The past years at school have taught me
more than any other event in my life. It has left me soul searching
for the true me. I’ve been put me in situations that I never thought
that I would have to deal with. It has made me aware of the
imperfections in the world. It has proven to me that I’m stronger than
all of that. I can accomplish my dreams. Sometimes dreams are unknown.
Sometimes dreams change. But the only way to get them is to work hard
and make the most of what opportunities put in front of me. And
advertising world, I hope I’ve worked hard enough to have the opportunity to
learn from you.

I spent the weekend in the Ohio. It was wonderful. 35 of us in one house. And I wouldn't have it any other way. It involved an awful dance, followed by a better dance, hot tubbing, a bonfire, way too much food. And the sites. And lots of Church history. And cute senior missionaries.

an awfully big adventure
I saw Peter Pan last night. Sheer magic. Just for the record. I do believe in fairies. I do. The last line of the play is "To live would be an awfully big adventure." And Peter was right. To live has been an awfully big adventure. From the big and the small. Every day is full of learning, danger, heartache, fun and beauty. What more could an adventure ask for? Just looking at the last year, life has thrown at me a lot. A car accident. Chicago. A crazy school schedule. Work. NYC. Friendships. Big decisions and small choices. But I knew what I was getting myself in for. So here is to adventure.

Shiny, blue paten heels. That was my weapon of choice on Sunday to get the attention of a certain young man. I could of chosen the black dress or red lipstick. But I was determined that the heels were it. Never mind the fact it was raining and I have to walk a good distance to Church. It didn’t matter. I was going to come off conquer. Of the heels and the boy. All was good for the first two blocks. Then the manhole cover got the better of me. I ended up with a scrapped up knee and a bruised ego. Both missions failed. Next time I'll stick to nude flats.

I've loved every minute of it. Even when it's been hard. Here, I've become the true me. A writer, a dreamer, a hard worker. My sense of creativity, being and self have been challenged. But I've come out stronger. Provo, I'll see you again. Just not sure when that will be.
