duck pond

I hate the duck pond. Not because of the grossly entangled couples or the unidentifiable ducks or the massive amount of children that room free without parent. Nope. It stinks. Really bad. At all cost I will avoid it. Even if it means being late to weightlifting.

I have a new boyfriend. His name is Dillan. He watches the stars with me. He gives me unlimited hugs and cuddles with me when I get cold. He gets me food and picks up my sunglasses when I drop them. We make an awesome team when we play games. He holds my hands. Its a good match. He uses pick up lines like, "You should come over sometime." "You have nice finger nails." And "Can you teach me to swim?" He is five. I guess I'm a cougar in more then one sense of the word.

After a year and 11 days, my hair is finally long enough to fit in to a pony tail again. If I was feeling sentimental, I would blog about how much I've grown in the last year and 11 days too. How I chose a major, when on adventures, figured out how I'm. But instead...I'm running late to weightlifting. Maybe next time.

My roommate and I matched exactly. Same cartigain. White shirts. Jeans rolled up. We didn't even plan it. And I got new TOMS that are plastered with "Make Art, not War." LOVE THEM!

pain

Between my sunburn and weightlifting class, I'm in pain. Major pain. I haven't hurt this bad since senior year swim season. And tomorrow doesn't look any brighter.

I started this weekend white...now I'm red. My roommate Taralyn and I are in similar situations. Aloe is a heaven sent. But it was totally worth it. BBQ and Fireworks with family, learning that there is more to the Tour de France then bike riding, lots of pool time, painting and dinner with some fabulous friends.

the mitten

Not born in Michigan...but raised there. I love it with my whole heart. Come on...its shaped like a mitten. Some times I really miss it. 4th of July is one of those times. I miss salt bagels, summer at the pool, green, huminity, and most of all my family.
