Liverpool. Hope you are proud.
Granny Jo paid my parents $50 to insure that Liverpool didn't end up as my middle name. Out of that, I got a sweet middle name and my parents got a night out on the town. Even more important, I have been shaped by that city. There is obvious love for the Beatles. BUt on a deeper level, Liverpool is tough, yet lyrical and resilient. Built from ashes. The locals, Skouses, are sarcastic, have an unswerving love for all things Liverpool and love a good argument. I consider myself a Skouse at heart. I'm gritty, emotional, self-made and a fighter. I beat my roommate's boyfriend in a wrestling match. But more important, I'm resilient. Even from an early age. I wanted a bike with pink tires. ANd that is exactly what I got. I've been that way my whole life. So LIverpool, hope you are proud of the little, white girl Yank across the pond fighting her way to the top.

twinners
via facebook.com
This is my cousin Austin. We are best of friends. We live in two different states. At one point we both lived in two different countries. I speak Spanish and he speaks French. Our parents are twins. We are a month apart. We love each other. And we are twin.

that's right
From Rick Chandler at "Off the Bench"
"But the best part of this long-awaited Mountain West showdown was the Marriott Center crowd itself. Because Mormons aren’t allowed to do anything fun — hand over that soda, mister! — all that pent-up emotion gets channeled into rooting for sports. The results on on Thursday were raucous, to say the least."

surprise cookies
I made these cookies. They were the hit of the party. They had a surprise in the middle.

"The frighting and most difficult thing about being what someone calls a creative person is that you have absolutely no idea where any of your thoughts come from. And especially you don't know where they are going to come from tomorrow." --Art & Copy

witness the fitness
Alyssa and I agreed to run a 10K in two weeks. Then she found out that she had to work that weekend. And we are joined at the hip and won't run it without her, so I took on the honorable position of team manager for Witness the Fitness.
But today 'lyssa and I did go on a run. Barely two miles, but ten minutes into it I had to go to the bathroom so bad. We took a pit stop at the elementary school and got questioned by a nice 4th grade teacher about our intentions. In all it was a good run.
