News Release

My Dad found a news release that he had written when I was born ( He sent it out to friends and family). It kind of fun. He was even so kind to tie a pink ribbon in the corner.

BABY GIRL FOR JOHANSSON FAMILY
A healthy baby girl was born to Joan and Jack Johansson September 19, 1989 at 1:08 MST. The as-yet-unnamed girl was 8 pounds, 7 ounces and 22 inches long at birth.
Labor was almost pleasant for Joan, as drugs played a major role in the birthing process. Jack was present, but bravely chose not to watch the birth. The new parents held their first child immediately after the birth, "She was alert and looking around, she seemed to be as happy to be out of me, as I was to have her out," says Joan.
Dr. Maurice D.W. Baker examined the baby and pronounced her perfectly healthy. She was born with a full head of brown hair and long fingers. Jack says the baby "is intense, when she sleeps she sleeps, when she eats she eats, and when she cries she cries."
There was concern in the Johansson family, as Jack was out of town, receiving a scholarship from the Radio-Television News Directors Association until Sunday afternoon, but was home in plenty of time for the Tuesday birth.
Naming the baby has been an issue; Jack likes "Ann Arkie Johansson," Joan hates it. Joan says she looks like a "Lauren," Jack agrees, but doesn't like the name. Joan and Jack like "Liverpool Ann Johansson" but both sets of grandparents quickly vetoed it. Jack's mother, who teaches school in Michigan is running a "Name the Baby Contest" with her pupils. Joan says "'Victoria Liverpool' is the strongest contender at the moment, but we are still soliciting suggestions."

Good Job Dad! Only a few AP errors.
