Growing up my Dad always wore Ray Ban. Huge ones. We always made fun of him for being stuck in the 80's. Every cross country trip, he would pull them out and the jokes would follow. He wore them as long as I can remember.
Fast forward to Christmas 2008. I was home for the break and had taken my little sis on a date to see "Twilight." The second I saw Robert Patterson step outside of the car door, rockin a pair of Ray Bans, I knew that I had to have a pair. I just had to. After the movie, I dragged E across the parking lot to the mall to purchase a pair with my newly acquired Christmas money.
I would like to say that I'm super hip and discovered a pair at a vintage store and started wearing them. But no. I'm a sell out.
I love putting on my sunglasses and hiding behind them. They make no-makeup days, I stayed up way to late to finish a project days, and I just hate the world days bearable.
Now that I'm a proud owner of Ray Bans, Dad I salute you for being a trend setter.
